Character Review: Subodai
Salutations! It's Friendly Chris again, and today I'm going to be analysing a Pirate101 character. Today's character review is Subodai. A swashbucklers best friend! Let us begin learning about his character, shall we?
I don't think it takes Sherlock Bones to realize that Subodai is a horse, from the majestic land of Mooshu. A strong warrior, Subodai was once imprisoned by the Armada, where he met a young swashbuckler and helped the pirate on their journey. He eventually is promoted from Horse Barbarian to Horse Warrior. When promoting him, he wishes to perform a ceremony for his ancestors to earn his warriors plume, and must gather special items to do so.
He gathers many unique items such as the talon of a scarakeet from Monquista, since he is unable to get some from his homeland. Next, he collects 5 blood flowers from Diablos cut, fighting off spiders and evading crimson vines while doing so. Once he is finished gathering the items, he heads over to Skull Island to speak to Madame Vadima...
Madame Vadima helps him with the ritual, and Ogudai, one of Subodai's ancestors, speaks to him, speaking of his pride. Ogudai tells Subodai he must defeat a worthy foe in combat if he is ever to become a worthy warrior. He must defeat a monquistan, simian, and make his Warriors plume from his banner.
Subodai returns to Skull Island after he speaks with his ancestor, and defeats Simian. He then travels to the nearest tavern to celebrate his victory, and his new promotion as a warrior.
Later on Subodai wishes to be promoted to a great, title, a Horse Khan. He travels to Mooshu and visits his uncle, Qulpa, and tells him of the quest. Qulpa says he is happy to help Subodai the minute that he is freed from his imprisonment. After being easily freed, Subodai seeks the support of two more Kkans, Batu & Guyuk. Batu is easily bought, as he simply wants a jade. Guyuk on the other hand, was not so easily bought. You must confront a khan named Hunan, and when you do and offer him a gift, horns from snakes Hunan holds sacred, warriors attack Subodai, after the battle Subodai is gained the title for defeating a powerful Khan. He celebrates at a tavern, and is officially promotoed, realizing the Amber Horde is a horrible group, and no longer follows them.
As a companion I don't know much about him, as I have only created a Witchdoctor and don't have much experience despite my small experients with the other classes, but as a character in general, he is a very powerful and strong Khan.
That is the character summary of Subodai! I hope you didn't find it tiring and boring, comment below if you enjoyed it and you would like to see more of this!
Thank you all for reading! Have a great week! ~Friendly Chris, YARR!

Level 65 Witchdoctor 1v1 PvP Guide
Hello! Today I'm going to talk about how to succeed in PvP as a high level Witchdoctor.
The witchdoctor class has a large arsenal of moves in which they can choose from to play in combat, some useless, some quite useful. The thing to know, is what gear to use, the companions and their traits, and how to use the powers strategically.
That's all for this guide. Good luck, and fair sailing, pirates!

Training Points
Spend your practice points in privateer up to elusive 2. Once you're done with that, train in swashbuckler up to fast 2. With these, you'll find yourself with extra dodge, extra movement, and extra damage.
Once elusive activates for your witchdoctor, you should be able to move almost the entire board in a single turn!

Gear
- Hat - Corrupted Wushi's Hat - dropped from the upper floors of Moo Manchu's tower.
- Outfit - Swami's Frock or Conqueroo's Outfit - dropped by Bishop or redeemed from the hoodoo bundle.

- Boots - The Shoes of Houdini or Corrupted Wushi's Sandals - dropped by Bishop or upper Moo Manchu Tower floors.
- Weapon - Moo Manchu's Wand - dropped by Moo Manchu. (It's range of 6 and Coward's Bane ability is extremely useful in PvP.)

- Totem - Eyeglass Of Reverance or Talisman of Moo Manchu - dropped by Tyler, the Nefarious 5, or Moo Manchu (tower version).
- Charm - Right Hand Amulet - dropped by The Nefarious Five or Moo Manchu (tower version).
- Ring - Wrangler's Ring or Brain Thief Loop - dropped by Johnny Ringo or Nefarious 5/Moo Manchu (tower version).

Powers
I have set up my powers like the pictures shown below. It allows easy access to buffs, heals, and the most important attacks. The least important powers or the powers that'll come later in the match are in the back, so they don't show up very often.
A couple of notes:
- Chain Lightning isn't very reliable, therefore, it's near the end.
- Gunnery is moved to the end due to it's lack of damage. It used to be an important power to unveil hidden units, but that was changed with an update.
Strategy, Small Tips, and Hints
- Buff up at the very beginning of the fight. Get at least 2-3 buffs on each companion before sending them into the fight.
- Stay close to your companions so you can heal them if their health gets low.
- When using any spell that's a 3x3 square such as Mojo Storm or Jobu's Embrace, if there's more than 1 spot to hit the same amount of units, pick the spot that has the middle point on the unit that is more threatening. This way, you'll use mojo echo on them leading to a quicker death.
- Charm is a nice tool to use, but you have to learn to time it right. For example, if you can charm your opponent's musketeer companion and get it to hit their Nausica or a different companion with true grit, they'll be in for a big punch.
- Use reduce mojo moves like Ocuboros, Eye Swarm, and Evil Eye to effectively prevent healing lower the power of your opponent's witchdoctor powers.
- Minions are useful as distracting tools, especially Stygian Chorus.
- Don't always just think of what you're going to do; think of how the opponent will react.
- You can use the Widow's Touch ability to slow opponents down to where they can only move 1 box at a time. This can buy you time to kill melee units without them touching you.
That's all for this guide. Good luck, and fair sailing, pirates!

Adventures in Cool Ranch and Port Regal
So this week I've kinda been chilling with the bison and spirits in Cool Ranch. They are friendly, well from what I've seen. I don't know what they do in their behind the scenes stuff... Sailing through Cool Ranch takes so much fuel, I'm sure if my ship had a mileage it would be out the roof. Seriously, sailing from Big Sky to Santa Pollo Skyway is not a fast and short trip, well if you could 5 minutes fast then be my guest but yeah. I also recruited a cute little bison into my crew and picked up a chicken who was jailed, them seem to be getting along with my crew nicely. Though my tavern is kinda getting full, I don't wanna know how full it will get by level 65 if I ever reach there.
I think I've been spending too much time in Cool Ranch. I've developed this cough that I'm kinda worried about so I might stop by the doctor in Coopers Roost to get that checked out later.

And finally I'm taking a break from Cool Ranch to run around in Port Regal. Plenty of Red Coats around here. I think we need a badge for defeating Red Coats cause I just did Fort Elena with my friend and it's pretty much all Red Coat and Armada fights.
Sorry about the delay in this weeks post and how short it was. I've been busy with finals at school and not as much time as I usually have. If you have a request on something I should blog about comments below or send me a request at my Twitter, it's @FireChaosAngel. Feel free to follow me about my Pirate101 adventures. And as usual feedback is helpful, and helps me improve my blogging skills that have been sleeping for so long.
Maxwell Installment of Chapters 27-28
Greedy Jacob Maxwell: Book 12, Chapter 27-28
Hello fellow readers that read this post "willingly" without me hunting them down forcing them to read this word for word then analyze and give me feedback....If you are reading this willingly then I've either died or its an alternate universe.
Ok I'm enclosing in this post 2-3 chapters because: 1. It's boring! 2. It's very quick paced and the chapters are quite short to be blunt. Either that or I'm a quick quester according to ALL my friends. Why else do you people think I used to run a site called Questers of the Spiral?!? (Off the record, the site is still up and hasn't been updated since uh May or June I think?)
So.....The Storyline! From where we left off....I just defeated the notorious and sinister General Tso. I had to threaten his chicken to win the fight ...it was strange. Great.....now I want General Tso's Spicy Chicken (Which is not spicy at all) and Chinese food! Curse you Mooshu!
So a crude run down.....I got to Subata Skyway which has much more areas than Khotan in my opinion. Some old legend is that in order to read Marco Pollo's map I need to throw five turtle balls down a void which are spread out through 4 corners of Subata and this goat monk dude has one. So one is owned by some monkey called Monkey King who was imprisoned for trying to eave his duty and was buried under a huge rock :) 1. What is a monkey doing in MS? GO BACK TO MQ WHERE YOU BELONG! 2. Pirate101 spends 2 chapters on Monkey King then 1 chapter on the other 4 Turtle Ball holders! Like, what the heck!?!
So much of it was mob fighting and Amber Horde ship destroying....speaking of ships, I bought the Level 48/50 Mooshu Samoorai Galleon!

So let's get to the "good" part.....I just freed Monkey King from his cage and he lured me into a cave and now he's going to fight me.....YAY! -_- (That was sarcasm for those with no literature skills)
Okay, first of all, what's a doppelganger? Second of all, I WILL PUT YOU BACK IN THAT CAGE FOR 10,000 YEARS IF YOU DONT GIVE THE TURTLE BALL!!!!

Oh before I forget.....there was ONE interesting thing in those Chapters before 30, I rode a robot, Stupendor-X or something, and destroyed a Stormzilla that was terrorizing the Valley of the Titans and birthing babies every few rounds....they were cute little stormzillies.....Sorry that's my fault, my storm was meddling with growth serum and tested it on a Stormzilla! Sorry!
Stupendor-X (Source: Duelist101)
So yeah, that was pretty sweet, I hope I get to do something similar in MB, AQ or even a possible new world!
I did Bonnie, I did
Oh! A problem I've noticed in clothes.....they're no advanced Swash clothes for level 50+ that I want! So I'm stuck in Mooshu clothes until I farm for something good like Sato's Black Rain Shades! Hehe Sato makes me think of Satan.
Oh cool....Is he useful?
Well I think that's a wrap....
Thanks for reading and see you for Book 12, Chapter 29!

Promoting El Toro
Hello! Today I worked on promoting the famous El Toro on my buccaneer. (Cue the trumpets with his theme song.)
El Toro is our beloved self-obsessed bull that we get near the end of Cool Ranch from the quest Blood's Own hand. He promotes at level 40 from Masked Hero to Masked Champion, and he gets a new costume and colors that match your flag!
For El Toro to promote, he must master focus and power. He learns from one of the greatest swordsmen in all of Mooshu, Moosashi Mooyamoto.
In El Toro's test of focus, he must catch a fish with his bare hands and enjoy a meal with Moofune. However, things don't turn out well when El Toro finds out that Moofune doesn't eat meat.
For the test of power, El Toro must cut down a Yum-Yum Fruit tree with only a butter knife and share it with Mooyaguchi! El Toro is persistent, however, he didn't learn to strike correctly and breaks the blade. He then lies to Mooyaguchi to get his way and still look like a good person.

After the two tests, we return to Moosashi Mooyamoto, we must defeat him to prove to him that El Toro has learned the skills. Once we defeat him, we sail off to the De La Vega Manor in Santo Pollo for a new outfit!
When he has his outfit and we return to the tavern, El Toro is promoted to Masked Champion!
That's all for this post! Take care, pirates!
