Part 12

Hi, Sally! Hope we don't need to rescue you later!

When we last left Angela, she was headed to Flotsam to find the mysterious One-Eyed Jack. Angela docked at Flotsam, which looks like a multitude of wrecked ships boarded together to form makeshift houses and paths. Angela followed the twisted walkways and catwalks until she reached the lift to the Black Spot. She walked into the tavern and spoke to Flopsy, the barkeep. Flopsy explained he's Jack's nephew and that he knows nothing of Ratbeard. He explained to Angela that Jack is out collecting rent and that she might be able to catch up to him if she heads to the flop house and talks to Sally. Angela found the flop house and immediately realized she walked into trouble. A few dog pirates were threatening Sally on behalf of Ratbeard. Angela had been stuck on the ship for a while and felt like a good brawl. After a brief skirmish, Sally admitted that she had not seen Jack and asked Angela to belt Ratbeard for her. Sally suggested to check Ned's Galley for Jack, since Jack frequents the joint. Angela once again set out on the twisted roads of Flotsam. She didn't have far to travel before finding Ned. Ned explained to Angela that he will have Jack's money in 2 days time. Angela explained that she was looking for Jack and sent by Flopsy the barkeep. Ned asked if "Flopsy" was a white rabbit with an eye patch. Ned explained to Angela that she was talking to a one-eyed jack rabbit. Russel suggested giving Jack a little what-for. Angela returned to the Black Spot where Jack confessed to the deception and played it off as a form of protection. Angela explained that the Frogfather's favor that Jack owed was now to be owed to her instead. Jack explained that Ratbeard WAS hiding out in one of Jack's rentals. Jack continued on, explaining that he had to warn Ratbeard of any one looking for him, which he did while Angela was distracted by the wild goose, er, rabbit chase. Jack was rather proud of himself paying off 2 favors in 1 day with just talk. Angela found Ratbeard, who quickly lept out an open window, leaving the will to burn. Angela managed to put it out. Unfortunately, all but 1 page was destroyed. The page congratulated the discoverer of the will as Gunn's sole heir. The will further explained that the next clue to Gunn's treasure was hidden at his old home in Corsair's Channel. There was a shortcut, but the page was burnt and illegible. Ratbeard had a head start to Gunn's treasure! Angela headed off to Corsair's Channel in a desperate race to Gunn's gold! Will she find the gold? Will she beat Ratbeard to it? Who wants pizza? Ashford Journals- Part 11

Part 11:
When we last left Angela, she had just received her parents' ship from the Frogfather and had one of their former crew members, Lucky Jack Russel join her crew. Now she's off, in her BRAND NEW CAR!!! I mean boat.... But before she went after Ratbeard again, Angela felt the need to tie up a few loose ends on Skull Island. On the way back to her bunk house, she met Billy Haze, who told her Joey Karo was looking for help. She went into the Kraken Skulls tavern and spoke to Joey. He explained he was looking for someone to buy the Mooshu Falcon from Avery. Joey explained it was a family heirloom and that the villainous Captain Fowl was after it as well. That was nice of Joey to be so helpful. Angela asked Avery to sell it. As he explained he wouldn't sell the Mooshu Falcon, he discovered that it had been stolen and that if Angela did not get it back, she would be held responsible! Angela ran to Mordekai, who explained Archer had been acting suspicious lately and to ask Blind Mew where Archer was. Angela asked Mew and he explained he was sure Archer went into the ancient tunnels under Skull Island. After locating Archer, Angela and crew gave him a royal thrashing until he confessed that Fin put him up to it. Archer told Angela to go scuttle some Cutthroat ships to find Fin. A Cutthroat told Angela that Fin was headed for Jonah Town and that Joe Hawkins would know more. Angela thanked the Cutthroat, right bfore blowing a hole in his ship, sinking it. Joe told Angela that Fin was in the Market House in Gullet. Angela and crew headed back down into Gullet (Maybe they should bring some air fresheners). When they entered the Market House, they were ambushed by Fin and Captain Fowl. After a brief scuffle, Angela laerned that Fin was robbed by one of his own underlings, Marcus, who conveniently left a note to his exact location. Good job, Marcus. Angela reached Blood Shoals and then Joey Karo's warehouse. She found Marcus and Karo, who explained that Angela was too late to accept his offer, and a fight broke out. After his defeat, Karo became quite angry at Marcus for leaving Fin a note. Angela picked up the Falcon and returned it to Avery. Angela once again set out to reach One- Eyed Jack. Will she reach him? Will she catch Ratbeard? How much wood can a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? Stayed tuned as we may answer at least one of these questions in the next... Ashford Journals- Part 10

Part 10:
Angela has found the Frogfather, and he will do her a favor for a favor. He asked her to break into a Monquistan fort, the Presidio, and steal the spices within. They sailed to the Prsidio and located Frogfather's scout, Sneaky Rufus, pointed Angela to the location of the spices. The crew quickly infiltrated the fort and located the spice room. The door to the spices was locked. As the crew turned around, they were ambushed by Monquistans! After that battle they had to fight their way to the barracks to find the key. After another battle with Monquistans, Angela meets Lucky Jack Russel, who claim he knows Angela and her parents. He explained that the keys are being held by the commander upstairs. After the comander was defeated and Jack was freed, Angela returned to the storehouse to find it teeming with Monquistans. Angela and crew, aided by Jack easily cleared the last of the Monquistans. Angela gathered the spice and returned to the Frogfather. He explained that he gave Ratbeard his word he would not betray Ratbeard if anyone came looking for him. He advised that One-Eyed Jack in Flotsam does owe him a favor and the Frogfather transferred the favor to Angela so she could use that favor to find Ratbeard. Jack joined Angela's crew. and as they prepared to depart, Frogfather explained that Angela's parents left their ship at his private docks and is giving it to her.... Will Angela find Jack? Ashford Journals- Part 9

Part 9:
Angela was looking for Norville, the son of Ahab. She spoke to Raku, the Water Mole. He explained that Norville was carried of to Skull Island. Upon reaching Skull Island, the crew decided to ask Skinny Pete, the barkeep at the Kraken Skulls Tavern. He told Angela to go talk to Blind Mew. Blind Mew directed the crew to the sewers. Angela and crew located the pirates and made short work of them. Norville asked to be returned to Ahab so he could deliver money to the Frogfather.  Ahab advised that the money was to go to the Frogfather for protection against Cutthroats and other ruffians. Ahab lowered Angela and crew by bucket into Gullet, a town inside the whale, which apparently has a very "distinct" smell. Slimy Jenkins gave directions and a password to go see the Frogfather. Angela and crew located the door and provided the password. It was a trap. Angela and crew fought the pirates. After the battle Rocco explained that they passed the audition and they could see the Frogfather and provided the correct password. Angela headed to the Frogfather's lair and, provided the new password, was allowed in. Inside was indeed the Frogfather... Will the Frogfather help? Will Angela find Ratbeard? Ashford Journals- Part 8

Part 8:
Angela and her crew headed for Jonah Town to find Ahab and then the Frogfather. As they neared Jonah Town, it lived up to it's name. It was on a giant whale! Angela located Ahab who knows where the Frogfather is but has other problems to worry about. His best fisherman Brody had not returned from trawling for sky clams near the Vortex of Doom. Ahab asked Angela and crew to find Brody. Angela entered the vortex and saw Brody's boat surrounded by Storm Sharks. The crew, along with Brody, made quick work of the sharks that had gotten on board Brody's boat. She returned Brody to Jonah Town, where Ahab advised that his son, Norville, had not returned from Rapa Nui yet. Angela travelled to Rapa Nui and asked the Water Moles about Norville. Their chief Omurtu explained that Ratbeard betrayed them and had the Waponis attack them. Angela boarded her raft and sank Waponi ships surrounding the peaceful Nuis. Angela returned to Chief Omurtu and he gave her a Mojo potion. The Chief advised Angela to talk to Hunter Raku for help in locating Norville... Will Angela find Norville? Ashford Journal- Part 7

Part 7:
The ghosts of Ratbeard's former crew asked Angela to aid them in passing on. Moe asked Angela to retreive his former love's locket from Crimson Jake. Jake was told the tale and was reminded of a love he once had, but Angela wanted no part in the story, so Jake sent her out into the skyway for Batacuda meat for his supper in exchange for information on the locket's location. Angela and crew quickly dispatched the Batacudas and obtained several delicous steaks. They returned to Jake with the meat and he told Angela that the locket is in a chest on Skull Island, behind the waterfall. Angela made her way to Skull Island and located the locket. Upon it's return, Nancy said she forgave Moe. Angela returned to Moe and told him the news. Moe instructed Angela to talk to Jack. Jack, who had only taken the job to pay the ransom for his nephew, asked Angela to save his nephew from the Red Claws. Angela and crew disembarked to Skull Island to locate these menacing crustaceans. The crew located Black Rock cave, where Nick was hanging over a stew pot. Angela's crew engaged in a fierce battle with the crabs. While Angela and Louis opened fire, Wing sneaked past and saved Nick, who then joined the fight. The crabs were defeated and Nick was returned home safely. Jack received the news and wanted Agela to talk to Lasko one last time. Lasko explained that the Frogfather would know where Ratbeard was. He told Angela to go to Jonah Town and ask Ahab to speak to the Frogfather... Will Angela find Ratbeard? Will she meet the Frogfather? What smells like bacon? Ashford Journals- Entry 6

Part6:

Angela and crew landed on Blood Shoals to search for Ratbeard. They located a cave where footprints entered, but none were leading out. As they entered the cave, they skirted around some crawlies, only to find the ghosts of Ratbeard's crew, surrounding a dinning table. Lasko, one of the spirits, asked Angela to listen to his tale. He explained that Ratbeard poisoned the crew and abandoned them. Lasko asked for them to capture Ratbeard to put his soul at rest, however, his crewmates need other tasks completed to put them at rest. Angela spoke to Manny, who needed her to find a way to pay back his Uncle Scuttles. Scuttles, who Manny stole from, needed rope from riggings. Scuttles will forgive Manny if Angela got the rope. After sinking a few Cutthroats, Angela got the rope. She returned to Scuttles, who forgave Manny. Manny instructed Angela to speak to Moe, another one of Ratbeard's doomed crew. Moe's tale is of lost love. He was in love with a girl, but lost her mother's keepsake locket in a game of dice. Angela was tasked with retrieving the locket from Crimson Jake.... Will Angela get the locket back? Can she put the rest of the crew to rest? How much is that doggie in the window? Stay tuned for the next installment of the Ashford Journals

Ashford Journals- Entry 5

Part 5:

Angela had been given the writ to a new boat. She eagerly ran down to the dock and spoke to Dockmaster Dan, who provided her with her new ship, which looked liked a bunch of wood planks and barrels tied together with old rope. Angela heads to Avery's office to confront him. When confronted, Avery told Angela he can not her a better ship, but he can get her gold. He told the tale of Gunn, the greatest pirate to ever sail the skyways. Avery explained that there is a person looking for a crew and he can get Angela on it, if she returns to Avery a chalice wrapped in sail cloth that is in Gunn's treasure. Angela is directed to see the Musketeer trainer Ol' Fisheye before embarking on her journey. Once she found O'l Fisheye, he told Angela to go to Kraken Skulls Tavern and ask the barkeep for Louis LeBisque. When she reached the taver, Angela asked the barkeep for Louis. He told her that Louis was in the cellar with the other treasure hunters. Angela went down into the cellar. As she approached, Louis was arguing with the captain of the ship, Ratbeard. Ratbeard asked for proof of Gunn's will, which revealed the location to Gunn's gold. Louis showed the will and was double-crossed by Ratbeard, who escaped during a fight that broke out in the cellar. Louis joined Angela's crew to chase down Ratbeard. The reached the docks, where Blind Mew told them that Ratbeard escaped to Blood Shoals. Angela quickly boarded her death tra... er, boat and set sail for Blood Shoals... Will she find Ratbeard? Will she reach Gunn's Gold? Why do I keep burning my toast? Ashford Journals- Entry 4

Part 4:

Angela is after Cutthroats for the key to the temple shrine. After a quick scuffle, the sharks give up the key and it's off to the shrine. When Angela and crew arrive, the shrine is crawling with Troggies. Quickly, the crew realizes that they need to activate the 3 statues around the plug to activate the drain. Working together, they released the plug and the water fushed out, along with the Troggies. With the way clear, Angela and the crew head back to Shepard, who joins them to take down Fin. As they approached Fin's lair another pirate, a swashbuckler named Lauren joined. Swiftly they made short work of Fin. Angela grabbed the amulet and returned it to Avery, who in return gave her a writ for a new boat. As she left Avery's office, she noticed the strange party favors. Undaunted, she proceeds to the dock... Will she get a boat? What adventures await? Is there something in my teeth? Stay tuned for the next installment of the Ashford Journals.

Ashford Journals- Entry 3

Part3:

As per Livsey's request, Angela and crew set out to distract the Cutthroats so Livsey can sneak past them. After kicking some fin, Angela was able to successfully meet Livsey by Skull Cave, where he showed her a note. The note was from Fin, who is waiting for the buyer in the temple inside Skull Cave. As Angela explored the flooded tunnels, avoiding the crokogators and Cutthroats, she finds her way blocked by deep, fast moving water. Shepard calls Angela over and explains that the Troggies have taking over the shrine where the drain is. He says it is locked and only the Cutthroats have the key. Will she find the key? Will she drain the temple? Why is the Chicken Dance stuck in my head? Stay tuned for the next installment of the Ashford Journals

Ashford Journals- Entry 2

Last time on the Ashford files, Bonnie Anne had decided to join the crew. She advised Angela to speak to Smollet for advise on the Troggie situation. He informed them that the Troggies were using stolen gun powder and was launching it from giant slingshots.
Once the slingshots were out of commission, Smollet tells Angela to locate Shepard and Livsey, who had been tracking Fin. Livsey had been captured by Troggies, so once again, it was off to battle more Troggies. After he was freed, Livsey explained that Fin was working with the Cutthroats and had stolen the Amulet. Livsey said he would sneak into Skull Cave while Angela and crew distract the Cuthtroats... Will Angela and crew be able to distract the Cutthroats? Will she find Fin? Who ate all the cookies? Ashford Journals- Entry 1

Angela and Wing Chun had just escaped from the Armada and found themselves in Avery's court. It seems Avery is willing to protect pirates and provide them a ship. However, a pirate must earn their keep and Avery just so happens to need help.

Fin, a pirate Avery hired, stole an antique, the Jade Amulet, and has caused the Troggies to riot, putting Skull Island under fire. So we are sent to Chief Gunner Rigby, who sends our duo to speak to Bonnie Anne.

After a few Troggie trouncings, Bonnie Anne decided to join the crew to help stop the Troggies from firing at the fort. Will Angela stop the Troggie riots? Will she locate Fin? Will there be more of these questions? Stay tuned for the next installment of The Adventures of Angela Ashford!
