Endgamer

Hello, Pirates! I just made it back home from vacation last night, so I'll be back on a regular blogging schedule now.

About a week before my vacation, I went through the beachhead dungeon(s) on my privateer. The Beachhead was a machine in the middle of the Westminster Skyway that the armada had built. It's purpose was to supply and repair armada ships, and it had turrets that could destroy all of Marleybone City if it got close enough in range. We were sent to destroy it's turrets and the contraption as a whole and sabotage the armada plans. By destroying it, it would turn the tides in the war against the armada.

First up, we had to destroy three spokes. Each were held to a turret. It was the same idea for all of them: defeat some armada troops, destroy the loading mechanisms, destroy ammunition, then the spoke was rendered as useless. Along the way, we ran into Bishop, Kane's "mad tinkerer." He's in charge of the construction of the armada's contraptions, for example, the Beachhead, creating new and improved clockworks, special weaponry, and key components of the "grand design." The grand design remains a secret as to what it is.

After destroying the three spokes, we got to the main battery. We had to destroy the main battery to blow up the Beachhead once and for all.

We had to get past a few armada forces first, then we got to the big guy: Bishop. Bishop cheats by sacrificing some of his minion's health to heal himself by a lot. He also sends out a machine once every turn. The machines shoot things at you that damage you and your crew.
Bishop um... got away after we defeated him. I was going to catch him sometime soon... and maybe steal his wand for my witchdoctor while I'm at it. On top of Bishop getting away, there was a huge problem with destroying the beachhead.

The only way to destroy the Beachhead was to take it down from the bottom. We had to destroy it from the engineering section by turning a piston. The pistons were activated by switching four switches. This wasn't going to be easy at all. The place was packed with armada.

My crew and I kept defeating the armada and turning the switches, until we reached the bottom, where we ran into another problem: Bishop again. We fought him again, and we finally found ourselves triumphant! Sadly, he didn't give me his wand like I wanted.

Oh look, he gave me a compliment.

After the Bishop problem, we pushed the last lever. This caused the piston to go down to the very bottom and blow up the whole beachhead! Luckily, we got out just in time and survived the explosion.
Beachhead blowing up
Blowing up Beachhead caused a major turn of the tides in the war. Things were looking good for Marleybone due to my crew and I.

That's all for this post. Fair sailing, Pirates!
