Where Have I Been? Bean? Bean Salad?

Psssst. It's me. I'm back. I have returned like the shambling undead that I control (just with a little more... life, of course). It's ok. You don't have to cry about it any more... You weren't? Oh well *ahem* this is awkward.... Sooooooooo.... Any way, you are probably wondering (or not) on where I have been. I have been in deep meditation with Cowfucious to come up with some new things to throw at the site to spice it up.... Mmmmmmm. Pumpkin everything. Where was I? Get it? Boy, tough crowd. So in any case look for some interesting new post styles and topics coming. Note I said interesting, not good. Anyone? Sheesh. Well if you're wondering about my Aquila house, I have completely remodeled it and am in the works of making it AWESOME!!. We are also looking for a new blogger as well. So keep yer eye peeled on this site for some new content on the horizon. And as always....

What's Next?

Hello, Pirates! A little while ago, I finished up Aquila on my swashbuckler, got the 3rd map piece and completed the current string of main-line quests on every school. Today I'll be sharing what I'll be doing until the next world update. Don't worry, I'll still have plenty of posts!

1. Side quests

My friend always scolds me about not doing my sides, so this'll be the perfect opportunity to work on them. I just finished my swashbuckler's sides a couple hours ago, so now I have my privateer and swashbuckler done and my buccaneer, witchdoctor, and musketeer to go. That's still 82 pages with 24 on my witchdoctor, 25 on my buccaneer, and 33 on my musketeer, heh. But hey, I finished 27 pages on my swashbuckler in about half a week.
My favorite quest in the game: Propaggrandizing.

2. Moo Manchu Runs

The same friend that scolds me to do sides also does many Moo Manchu runs with me - sort of ironic considering I should be working on my sides. I plan to at least get the "Charmbreaker" badge on my Musketeer and get full sets of clothes on every character.

3. Decorate my swashbuckler's house

While questing on my swashbuckler I had too much gold, so I decided to buy the Rake's Lagoon (swashbuckler) house. I hope to decorate this and post a housing showcase just like I did with my other characters.

4. Practice some PvP

Just like in my Summer Gaming Goals post (Click HERE if you haven't read it), I want to acquire more skill at PvP. I hope to bring more guides to the site to help our supportive viewers to PvP. (I have to update the witchdoctor one, now that I think of it). I'd also like to try team PvP on my Privateer. I've only done 1v1 on Pirate101 so far.

5. Work on a good pet

So far I've gotten Sneaky Sneaky 3 on a pet (combined 2 and 1 talents), Merciless 2, grants bladestorm, and some other pretty good talents for a pet, but none are really my "dream pet." I'd like a pet that has charming gaze 2, and grants elusive, turn the tide, and bladestorm. I'd like the same pet for ranged units, only it grants extra base health instead of bladestorm. It'll be a lot of work, and it'll definitely take a long while.

That's what's to come from me in the future! Have anything else that you suggest I do in-game? Please comment below! Fair sailing, Pirates!

Happy Birthday Pirate101!

So I have some very exciting news! If you didn't know Pirate101 is now 2 years old! Its so exciting! It feels like as if the game was opened to the public yesterday. I remember starting with my first Witch Doctor Isabella, of course she is now retired but still quite a memory. If you have been keeping up with Pirate101's twitter feed, you would know they had a livestream to celebrate! If you missed that or wanna watch it agin, its now available to rewatch on their twitch channel or Youtube I believe. There were a few prizes given out, questions answered, and of course cool stuff that was shown to us and is so cool!

So as a gift to us amazing players, they posted a code for a birthday eye patch, party hat, and a 1 day prancing pony rental mount for all their players! check it out at the link below and claim yours before November 2nd :) You can see what they look like below. I love that they brought the items back since they were given away before and its the perfect time to give them away now.

My baby WD, isn't she cute?

And other stuff. Avery's Court is covered in decorations black and orange just for Halloween. I love it so if you didn't get a chance, go check out how pretty Avery's Court is. There are also presents around you can open but it seems pirates had looted them before we found them. Oh well, we still get to open presents, that's the fun part of any birthday party right? :)

I've been working on my new WD, Crazy Destiny Vinter, and now she is level 15 and in Chapter 7, which I have to buy since I'm a crowns player, but its worth it. So I'll be coming back with more posts soon. Pets and stuff, I'm working on training my Hoggle to level 65 which is gonna take a while, but I'm getting there slowly.

Until next time my fellow pirates, ship captains, and Armada crew :) Be safe and have a fun time sailing the skies.

Trampling the Trafalgar

Hello, Pirates! Yesterday, I got to finish up Marleybone on my Swashbuckler (holding back tears). On one of the last quests, you get to climb aboard the ships "The Trafalgar" and "The Victory" and end Rooke's plans to defeat Marleybone in the war between Marleybone and the Armada that your pirate starts back in Port Regal with catbeard while rescuing Sally. If you need to read about the rescuing Sally quest, the link to my post about it is HERE!

My crew and I boarded the Trafalgar, which was Admiral Nelson's ship that crashed into Rooke's to delay it from coming to the Isle of Dogs. We passed by some typical run-of-the-mill armada forces first, cleared some debris, then we got to the good part.

After clearing the debris, I found some of  Admiral Nelson's crew trapped. I had to free them to help fight the Armada. The armada came to a little help this fight. I hid all of my crew and they cleared the obstacles blocking the reinforcements for me!

The next fight was a straight-forward armada dragoon fight. It was simple for the most part, and I breezed through it.

After that, my crew and I rushed over to The Victory and got to the main event: Rooke - the general of the armada!
For this fight, Admiral Nelson and his non-helpful musketeer forces arrived (thank you for being reasonable and being a privateer, Nelson). If you're a melee unit, Rooke can knock you back if you run up to him, but this isn't always triggered. If you're a witchdoctor, Rooke attacks you before you attack. If you're a musketeer, any shot you take, Rooke simply reflects it at one of your crew. The witchdoctor and musketeer cheats activate all the time.

We clashed and banged until there was only one survivor... err... victor of the fight. He sort of... only got delayed. We'd see him again in the future.

We rushed back over to the Trafalgar only to find that The Victory (horrible pun, I know) was short lived. Rooke had returned and he was worse than before. You had to defeat his crew along with him.

Once again, we fought to the death, and I remained victorious! My crew and I had saved Marleybone... for now. We headed off of The Victory and The Trafalgar just in time to watch the... fireworks, to say the least. My crew, Admiral Nelson, the reinforcements, and I were headed off to the War Room headquarters at the Isle of Dogs, and I was promoted to a captain. This allowed me to take Catbeard out of jail and learn where the next piece of the map is. We arrived just in time for his trial of over 500 heinous crimes. We managed to pick him up and out of the court room since the judge thought he'd end up dying either way.

There was one problem with recruiting Catbeard... he didn't have the map piece like he said he would. However he knew where one was. Now, we're off to Aquila to get our third map piece if we're lucky. Let's just hope he doesn't lead us straight to imminent death...

That's all for this post. Fair sailing, Pirates!

Yak Attack

Hello, Pirates! I may or may have not been procrastinating this post for a little while... err... a long while. Last week, I fought Sato in the Scarlet Orchid Tea Room on my Swashbuckler. It a little tricky since I messed up (really badly) on one of the floors, but I managed to get through it.

The first floor was pretty simple and straight forward. The only thing unusual was that the Yakooza had a move that looked just like the witchdoctor move, Hoodoo Touch, but it lowered damage instead of critical.

Second floor, traps. That is all. The picture below summarizes it pretty well, too. It is extremely difficult to move. I used El Toro, Fan Flanders, and Bonnie Anne since swashbucklers all take -50% from traps and Bonnie has five range, so she can reach places easily without moving.

The third floor had some really annoying minion spawning witchdoctors who created skeletal warriors with about 1,000 health and 110 damage every turn. I had to get rid of the witchdoctors quick, or it would be my doom. Thankfully, I was able to deal with them in 2-3 turns. The floor also had some trap mobs from the second floor and Yakooza from the first floor, but only about one of each, so it was pretty easy to deal with.

The fourth floor was where I messed up... miserably. This floor had one minion spawning mob, a couple swashbucklers with a long ranged attack, and a swashbuckler with one of every heal. As a mistake, I went for the swashbuckler with the heals first when I should've went for the minion spawner.  This resulted in a lot of minions that killed my companions (sorry Toro, Fan, and Bonnie). I managed to pull through the fight with just my swashbuckler and four enemies at half health, however.

The fifth and final floor is Sato and his black glasses. You fight him with one of every mob from the floors before him, but you only need to defeat Sato as an objective. Every time you attack him, he teleports away. While fighting him, I learned a few exceptions. Bladestorm is allowed if you critical while attacking him. Sato will teleport after the original hit plus bladestorm. Also, if you use first strike on him, he'll do the attack he was going to use before the first strike and then he'll teleport away.

I also managed to get a little present from Sato! It was much better than the accessory I had at the time. However, since I'm level 57 now, I'm using a different eyepatch.

Next post, I promise to be somewhat near my actual quest. That's all for this post. Fair Sailing, Pirates!
