Ashford Journals- Lucky Number 13

Part 13:

Oh that voodoo you do so well...

It's probably bigger on the inside...

Angela sailed into Corsair's Cove, looking for the first clue to Gunn's Gold. However, when she docked, all that was left was a dilapitated house and rotting boat. Inside the house was the cask they were looking for. The note from the cask told her to head to Shady

Undead attack!
Hollow and find the grave of Gunn's first mate, Honest Ned. She set sail for the Ruined Lighthouse and Shady Hollow, post haste. When Angela and crew entered Shady Hollow, they made a horrifying discovery... THE DEAD WALK!. They quickly started looking for Honest Ned's grave, hoping he was still in it. Deftly avoiding the undead, Angela made her way to each tombstone, trying to find Ned's, without any luck. Finally they came across a spooky clearing. Hoping the grave was in there, Angela and crew entered. They were attacked by the undead, who were seemingly under the control of an undead witchdoctor! It seemed like the dead was multiplying! After a long battle, Angela and her crew were finally able to curb the undead onslaught and went straight for the source, Old Scratch,  the undead witchdoctor. After a brief fight, Old Scratch admitted defeat and asked to join Angela's crew as a way to repay her for sparing his life. Or is it death? Unlife? Ahem! In any case, Angela allowed Old Scratch to join the crew. Old Scratch asked Angela what brought her to his lair. She explained it was Ned's grave they were after. Old Scratch pointed her to Ned's grave, where the next note advised her to go to Bounty Island and find the Mermaid Statue. Will Angela find Bounty Island? Will she beat Ratbeard? Where are my keys? Stay tuned as we may answer one of these.... in the next Ashford Journal!

The Glorious Land of Aquila

So in my travels recently I found myself and my Marleybone Galleon in the Archean Skyway of Aquila for a map piece. I had quite an adventure trying to find this piece of the Marco Pollo Map.

The world first awed me at all it's beauty but that quickly went away. Arriving in Delphi, the home of the oracle, the gates were closed. I had to attack quite a few harpies to get enough claws, those things are vicious. Never am I fighting another Harpy for their claws after today. Never again.

So then I had to build this giant wooden mouse to sneak into Troy for the sacred water for the oracle. We got in, but were greeted with many snakes who didn't seem to want us here. We fought our way through, there were so many and got the water and a golden chicken as a bonus. I think I'll keep it as a pet.

But even with the sacred water, she couldn't clearly see where Argos was, there was only one answer. Trading 5 years of my memories, my childhood, for the answer from down below. Aware I would forget my parents I had no choice but to accept the sacrifice. My parents would of wanted this. All I got was a question back: Where is Thesus? How would I know. Oh well, time to find him I guess.

And now I find myself trying to find the mighty Hawkules to hold the doors of the Labyrinth while Argos finds the other chain only he can get. Only I can't find him, that's gonna be a problem.

Farewell for now pirates and the Armada is tracking your every step so watch out. You never know who is an Armada spy.

Zeke Quest- Aquila Eagles

Ahoy, pirates! It's time once again for another Zeke Quest. This time in ancient Aquila. We are looking for golden Eagles. There's 10 of the decorations littered throughout the land. So let's get started.

1) Achaea- Head to the area with the centaurs. As you enter the area, you should be facing some ruins at the bottom of the map. The Eagle is by a column there.

2) Anthemusa- This one has you go around the island to the other side of the siren's pool to reach it. It's by a gazebo.

3) Delphos- This one is right behind the large eagle statue facing the dock.

4) Illios- Follow the path to the bridge on the right and cross it. Run across the next bridge and cross it. The Eagle is on the edge by the river.

5) Ithaca- This one is hiding behind the large palace, between the stairs and the cliff.

6) Knossos- This one is well hidden. In fact, it's buried (at least it was). Travel to the area just before the palace. It is on the right, hidden in a lava flow.

7) Laestrygon- Follow the map around to the only dungeon in the area. You will see a bridge that goes beyond it. Cross the bridge and claim this Eagle.

8)  Nova Aquila- Pretty straight forward. Find the open bath house styled building. It is next to the entrance.

9) Talos- Go to the area between the temple and the cliff with the empty building. You will find it in a little nook.

10) Unoculum- Follow the path up and take the left fork. The Eagle is to the right of Argos' house.

And there you have it. All 10 Eagles. Good hunting and as always

Coming soon to Pirates Unite...

Hello, Pirates. Recently I've been working on something on my Witchdoctor in my free time - besides farming for the many things I need.

Introducing: My Witchdoctor's maze!

Please note: Those trees aren't as bad as they seem!
Plus, they're the only ones that are going in the maze.

So far, I've only done the outside. I'll need to finish up the inside when I get free time. I hope to eventually bring this maze to Pirates Unite for contests and extend it to more than one house.

Question time: I need a name for this maze. What do you think it should be called? Let me know in the comments below!

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy the maze when I'm finally done with it. Fair sailing, Pirates!

Onto Aquila!

Hello, pirates! On my buccaneer, I've recently gotten into Aquila. I had to leave my favorite world to go to one with too many dungeons that are too long. Away from the British dogs, to some birds and snakes. End rant.

With my friend, Erin Innsbrook, I've toppled the forces of Troy with Eagilles. We accomplished this by giving the snakes a gift of the "Trojan Mouse." We hid inside, and when they least expected it, we charged out and stormed the fortress!
The great Palace of Hyssarik!
Inside the Trojan Mouse.
FOR AQUILA!

Inside the gates of the palace.
Once we had the courtyard in our hands, we were able to get into the palace and take our prize: the gift of Zeus, the Golden Chicken! To do this, we had to beat Pariss and the mighty Hykssoss. In the midst of combat, Eagilles had to make a sacrifice. He will never be forgotten for his strength and bravery.

Hykssoss.
Pariss.

The Golden Chicken. Bawk!
While versing Hykssoss, the final boss of the Palace of Hyssarik, I managed to pick up a little something special from him. I'm guessing he was in a nice mood.

I hope to finish up Aquila sometime soon and wrap up my buccaneer. It's been an amazing journey so far as my first melee-based pirate.

That's all for this post!

Ashford Journal- Part 12

Something odd about this rabbit....

I told you it was the second left from the third right past the first boat!
Part 12
Hi, Sally! Hope we don't need to rescue you later!
When we last left Angela, she was headed to Flotsam to find the mysterious One-Eyed Jack. Angela docked at Flotsam, which looks like a multitude of wrecked ships boarded together to form makeshift houses and paths. Angela followed the twisted walkways and catwalks until she reached the lift to the Black Spot. She walked into the tavern and spoke to Flopsy, the barkeep. Flopsy explained he's Jack's nephew and that he knows nothing of Ratbeard. He explained to Angela that Jack is out collecting rent and that she might be able to catch up to him if she heads to the flop house and talks to Sally. Angela found the flop house and immediately realized she walked into trouble. A few dog pirates were threatening Sally on behalf of Ratbeard. Angela had been stuck on the ship for a while and felt like a good brawl. After a brief skirmish, Sally admitted that she had not seen Jack and asked Angela to belt Ratbeard for her. Sally suggested to check Ned's Galley for Jack, since Jack frequents the joint. Angela once again set out on the twisted roads of Flotsam. She didn't have far to travel before finding Ned. Ned explained to Angela that he will have Jack's money in 2 days time. Angela explained that she was looking for Jack and sent by Flopsy the barkeep. Ned asked if "Flopsy" was a white rabbit with an eye patch. Ned explained to Angela that she was talking to a one-eyed jack rabbit. Russel suggested giving Jack a little what-for. Angela returned to the Black Spot where Jack confessed to the deception and played it off as a form of protection. Angela explained that the Frogfather's favor that Jack owed was now to be owed to her instead. Jack explained that Ratbeard WAS hiding out in one of Jack's rentals. Jack continued on, explaining that he had to warn Ratbeard of any one looking for him, which he did while Angela was distracted by the wild goose, er, rabbit chase. Jack was rather proud of himself paying off 2 favors in 1 day with just talk. Angela found Ratbeard, who quickly lept out an open window, leaving the will to burn. Angela managed to put it out. Unfortunately, all but 1 page was destroyed. The page congratulated the discoverer of the will as Gunn's sole heir. The will further explained that the next clue to Gunn's treasure was hidden at his old home in Corsair's Channel. There was a shortcut, but the page was burnt and illegible. Ratbeard had a head start to Gunn's treasure! Angela headed off to Corsair's Channel in a desperate race to Gunn's gold! Will she find the gold? Will she beat Ratbeard to it? Who wants pizza? Stay tuned as we may answer one of these.... in the next Ashford Journal!

Zeke Quest- The Rolling Stones

Ahoy, pirates! Do you see a red door and want it painted black? No? Well then, never mind. Let's just move on to the Marleybonian Zeke Quest, The Rolling Stones. There are 10 of these over-sized marbles to be found. So let's get rolling.... get it? Ah forget it.... On to the stones

1) Barkley Square- This one is behind the housing vendor, tucked away in a cozy nook.

2) Invader Fortress- There isn't a map that can reference the location. It's down the ramp and to the right.

3) Isle of Dogs' Sewers- This one is behind the tavern on the walkway.

4) Lafitte's Lair- After the first boss, turn down the tunnel on the left. You'll find it between 2 piles of crates

5) Main Battery- After the battle with Bishop, you head up the stairs. Keep going along the walkway until you reach the other side. This one is by some boxes.

6) Red Fox's Lair- This one is easy. Turn to and stay to the right and follow the first tunnel all the way down.

7) The Isle of Dogs- This one is in a nook near the clothing vendors, hidden in it's own cozy little nook.

8) The Isle of Fetch- Oh goody. Armada. This one is just before the dungeon, on the right hand side, in front of the fence.

9) The Wreck of The Victory- You have to beat Rooke to get this one. After he's beaten, run up the stairs on the left before heading back.

10) Walkie's Hotel- This one is in a pile of rubble on the left side of the entrance of the boss room. Bonus tip: There's a Training Tome in the room to the right of the stage.

Well, that's all the stones. Keep on roll... er, sailin' pirates. Pirates... UNITE!!
