Zeke Quest- The Funky Bunch

Ahoy pirates! I'm going to be posting guides for all the current Zeke Quests, so let's get started with the first quest. Marquis Mark lost his Funky Bunch. There are 10 piles of these stinky bananas lying around. So let's get started!

1) Skull Island Funky Bunch- The first one can be found near the entrance of the Water Mole village on Skull Island.

2) Blood Shoals Funky Bunch- This one in in Traitor's Cave, behind the rats, near the water.

3) Ruined Lighthouse Funky Bunch- This one is on the left most trail, after crossing the lighthouse bridge, in a ruined shack.

4) Corsair's Cove- This one is behind the shack on the island.

5) Gunn's Tomb- This one is pretty easy. It's next to Gunn's skeletal remains.

6) Volcano- Another easy Funky Bunch. This one is on the platform where you fight Cumba Wumba

7) Puerto Mico- This one is in a small grassy area in the upper pathway.

8) Sacrifice Cave- Head right after entering the cave. This bunch is sitting by the waterfall.

9) Valley of the Gold Monkey- You can't reach this one until near the end of the dungeon. It's on the left side of the pyramid before heading up the stairs.

10) Scurvy Dog Hideout- This one is in between 2 small houses under a tent towards the back of the island.

I hope this guide proves useful! Happy hunting. My next guide will be the Gypsy Kings from Monquista.
Pirates... UNITE!

Goodbye Free Realms

NOTE: Before reading this post please take a minute or two and tell any Free Realms player that you know to come on over to Pirates Unite (preferably this article) and learn about Pirate101 and to give try it a try now or in the near future.
For Pirate101 Players: As the due date for Free Realm's "death sentence" approaches what seems faster and faster each day it is showing that after this competition for both Kingsisle games will be more teen oriented games like World of Warcraft and League of Legends. Free Realms as we all know and probably have tried in our year(s) of playing online games and as some of us may have forgotten about what it looked like or if they even played it that you should try it out on these last few days, you may like it, you never know. And remember, you can click the friend invite button while on Pirate101 to invite them to come play Pirate101 if they don't want to read about membership, crowns, and game card options; chat options; and what good Kingsisle has done each year to help the community in and around Dallas and Austin, Texas.

The Noelephant is the Charity Mount of 2013 succeeding
the Fa-La-La-La-Llama of 2012
For Free Realms players deciding to join Pirate101: You may have heard of Pirate101 once or maybe twice if you/they got past the chat filter in  and could put the 101 in somehow. Pirate101 is set in the Spiral like Wizard101 but if your already not liking the sound of it and think it will be a children's game then think again. Pirate101 is only one but has helped the surrounding charities of Dallas and Austin, Texas and Make-A-Wish wishes from people (I will explain about that in the next paragraph) plus the game is family friendly and has multiple membership plans.

Every year around Christmas time (all of December to a few days after New Years) Kingsisle Entertainment, the creators of Pirate101 and Wizard101, release a mount to help raise money for charities around the Dallas and Austin Texas areas and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. During the Summer/Fall of last year a lucky person in the Make-A-Wish Foundation by the name in the Pirate101 community of Ryan the Relentless who is one of the two special people (plus their family of course) to visit the headquarters of Kingsisle Entertainment, you can find out more of his visit here.

Pirate101 is family friendly but for ages 10+ but that usually isn't the case as whole families with kids under the age of 10 enter the game and enjoy it, parents or guardians can choose what type of chat their child can have once they are signed up and have created a master password. The three types of chat in Pirate101 are:

  • Menu Chat, is the basic chat like any other game and has messages, dances, emotes, and more prepared. A chat bubble with a cross through it is the symbol for menu chat and people with menu chat will get a message with "..." when people with text chat and open chat are talking.
  • Text Chat, is a step up from menu chat but you get a chat box that you can type allowed words into. Allowed words appear white while blocked words appear red. NOTE: Text chat is for ages 13+ but can still be turned on with your parent or guardians permission if you are under the age of 13.
  •  Open Chat, is the 18+ chat which you can get when you are 18 years of age or older (they count it for you) and purchased Crowns or membership online with a credit card. There is no moderation but word in text chat that would appear red will now appear yellow as a warning.
One of the many pets in the game.
By now you are probably wondering what Crowns, the master password, and what the membership plans are. The master password is what you think it is, the master password. When logging in and going to your account settings you can enter the password and do multiple stuff like buy membership, crowns, add other accounts for the family plan, transfer crowns, and more. For now we will call the master password "The Kraggle."

Membership plans and Crowns work in similar ways. Crowns are the premium money in the game and can be used to by items from the Crown Shop (gold works for some of these items also) where you can buy and gift stuff to friends; pay for a chapter of the game where it will then be unlocked on the account for all characters forever (this does not spread to other ones if you have  multiple accounts connected with "The Kraggle") while membership unlocks the whole game. A in between if you want to play but don't want to use/don't have  a credit card is a game card.

Unlike game cards for SOE games where it only gave you your premium money, the game cards in Pirate101 off a full potential of more stuff. Each card comes with something different and something the same and not to get confused when you are buying here is what each one gives:
  • $10 Game Card: 1 month of membership or 5,000 Crowns + a pet
  • $20 Game Card: 2 months of membership or 10,000 Crowns + pet
  • $29 Game Card (Bundle): 1 month of membership or 5,000 Crowns + stuff (ship parts, a house, gear, companion, etc.)
  • $39 Gme Card (Bundle): 1 month of membership or 5,000 Crowns + stuff
So, are you up for Pirate101 yet? If you need any help or have any questions that can't be answered on the website or this post (I also forgot to mention, you need membership to post in the forums, they are working so people who purchase crowns in the last 30 days can post also) we will be willing to answer them here down below in the comments.

Ashford Journals- Part 9

Part 9:
Angela was looking for Norville, the son of Ahab. She spoke to Raku, the Water Mole. He explained that Norville was carried of to Skull Island. Upon reaching Skull Island, the crew decided to ask Skinny Pete, the barkeep at the Kraken Skulls Tavern. He told Angela to go talk to Blind Mew. Blind Mew directed the crew to the sewers. Angela and crew located the pirates and made short work of them. Norville asked to be returned to Ahab so he could deliver money to the Frogfather.  Ahab advised that the money was to go to the Frogfather for protection against Cutthroats and other ruffians. Ahab lowered Angela and crew by bucket into Gullet, a town inside the whale, which apparently has a very "distinct" smell. Slimy Jenkins gave directions and a password to go see the Frogfather. Angela and crew located the door and provided the password. It was a trap. Angela and crew fought the pirates. After the battle Rocco explained that they passed the audition and they could see the Frogfather and provided the correct password. Angela headed to the Frogfather's lair and, provided the new password, was allowed in. Inside was indeed the Frogfather... Will the Frogfather help? Will Angela find Ratbeard? How many random questions can I ask? Stay tuned for the next installment of the Ashford Journals

Pirate101's secrets revealed! Massively exclusive reveals Advance Pet System coming soon!

Ahoy pirates! A new article has surfaced on Massively announcing a new Advance Pet System coming to Pirate101! The article has announced that a test realm is coming soon that will allow you to train, battle, and merge pets. It seems like this will introduce a whole new battle component into the game. The best part? Pets and mounts can now be placed in housing after the update goes live! JOY! I'm looking forward to this update. Want more info on the Advanced Pet System? Check out the article at:
http://massively.joystiq.com/2014/03/24/massively-exclusive-pirate101-announces-new-advanced-pet-system/
Read the article and leave a comment telling me what you think of the new system. I think it has potential and sounds a little different than Wizard101's pet system. And as always...Pirates... UNITE!
Update: Pirate101 just released some beautiful panorama shots. One is the Temple of Fire and the other, titled Xol Akmul, looks like the ruins of Azteca... Check them out here: https://www.pirate101.com/free_game/spring_preview2014#fire1 and tell us what you think they mean.

Membership Compromisations

Hello! Last night, I logged on, and to my surprise, I saw a shiny new "upgrade now" button in the top left corner.
My first membership had expired. Happy two month pirate anniversary to me!

Anyways, before I got my first membership, I payed crowns until the last third of Monquista. Therefore, I've been questing on my little baby swashbuckler: Cunning Kyle.
Today on him, I had to go through the Presidio... for the 5th time on this account...
The goal of doing the Presidio is to steal some locked up spices from Monquistans, but along the way, you find someone locked up. Once you steal the key from El Nebuloso, you free the locked up person who helps you steal the spices and becomes a future companion.

The person locked up/future companion is determined by how you lost your parents when you were young.
Birgus Latro - Buccaneer - Sky Squid.
Dead Mike - Buccaneer - Mutiny.
Gaspard De Vole - Buccaneer - Armada.
Lucky Jack Russell - Privateer - Shipwrecked.
Milo Graytail - Swashbuckler - Storm.
Don't forget the companion tome in the back of El Nebuloso's chamber!

Once you steal the spices from the Monquistans, you report back to the Frogfather for your new companion!
That's all for this article. See you next time. Fair sailing, pirates!

Maxwell Installment: End of Mooshu, Onward to Marleybone!

Chapters: 29-33 (Book 12-13)

Hello fellow literary lovers....How are you on this gruesome day? Terrible? Very good because this post will turn that frown upside down, just read my post and enjoy it, LONG LIVE THE ARMADA! (Wait....Did i just say that aloud?)

Ok, so i completed Mooshu finally! The last Chapter was pretty quick to be truthful, I had to throw a bunch of turtle balls into a turtle which then became a shrine village, god these developers are interesting! So this pink turtle swam up to Subata Temple and then "ate" the turtle balls you can say.
Maruzame Castle (That weird flying turtle)

There were these 4-5 temples i fought in to speak to some "holy master" who was once a teacher of Marco Pollo (that means he is very old.)
God, He's old to the extreme

Yeah, so Earth temple, Fire, Water.....they're were fairly easy! Then came the Metal Temple, You had to knock down Metal Gates to get to the boss, the fight was still easy.

Metal Guardian
So, YAY! Marleybone! Not exactly, I still needed a yellow windstone into MB, but some dog in Port Regal knew there was one in the Commander's Office, so easy right? Walk in and get it? NOPE! I had to fight 3 waves of enemies to get it! I NEARLY DIED! *mutters*

What I like about Marleybone: 1 Skyway, Westminster, 1 Book, 3 Chapters. It's short, quick, and "easy" (I may have died on the Red Fox fight.)

OH! Yeah, Catbeard is in prison, he looks like a mess, I had to go to his frog lawyer.....(In a world of dogs, a frog is a lawyer. #Pirate101Logic)

They told me I can get that ignorant cat out if i become a MB emergency captain. And so here we're off to destroy the magnificent Armada once again! They told me to go speak to Gracie Conrad....

I get her as a comp i guess....

Oh hai dere...

Ok, so i join with Ms. Conrad (Ms. Know-it-all-with-hints-of-sarcasm) to disable the 3 Spokes, named A, B, C and then to disable the main battery hold. The 3 spokes are easy in my opinion cause I'm like few levels ahead because of side quests! YAY!

So then comes.....THE MAIN BATTERY! And guess who's there? WRONG! The answer is BISHOP! Heh he does look like the bishop in chess a bit.....
@DevGoldSword killing Bishop fight 1

@DevGoldSword's El Toro killing Bishop fight 2
Ok so onto Chapter 33! Time to help out The Isle of Fetch! There are some Tiger Auxiliary there from RAJAH! Possible idea for a world, though most are set on Valencia return and Krokotopia combo....whatever! I still want Darkmoor.....

Hehe Lt. Springer
Lt. Springer
O. O They got Stewart! I GOT TO GET TO WALKIE'S AND SAVE HIM!

I'm learning that I hate Kurgha Soldiers.....

Thanks for reading! See you next time!

Skyway Spring Cleaning- NXP party

Ahoy, pirates! I've decided to throw another NXP party next weekend! I'm planning on another assault on Spartacos in Achean way in Aquila. In case anyone needs a lift to Aquila, I'll be picking people up in Avery's Court on Ol' Fish- Eye realm at 7:00 pm EST next Saturday, the 29th. Pirates... UNITE!!
When: March 29, 7:00 pm EST
Where: Avery's Court on Ol' Fish-Eye Realm

Gear Farming

Hello fellow pirates! Lately I've been farming bosses for gear that I need for my buccaneer. It's been a pain. I've gotten hardly anything at all and I've been farming for the past two days or so. Don't the bosses love me?

The gear I'm farming for on my buccaneer is:

Hat- Defense Minister's Tarleton - dropped by Bishop.
My pet killing Bishop while I was farming. Good girl, Sierra!

Outfit- The Arms Of The Valiant - dropped by Bishop, which I was lucky enough to get while questing on my musketeer.
Boots- Boots of Sprinting - dropped by Friar Sand.
Friar Sand didn't know what hit him!

Weapon - Hykssoss' Falchion - dropped by Hykssoss.

Totem - Bloody Charm - dropped by Water Guardian. (This is the one thing I've been striving for the most, and I'm even farming for it as I make this post.)
Go Kobe!
While farming Friar Sand, I managed to get a hat that beat my old one, Asano's Helm, but it isn't as good as the Defense Minister's Tarleton. It's proven itself to be a good use so far, beating my old one, Bison's Headgear. I'm going to be using this one as a temporary place-holder.
Once I get my hat, boots, weapon, and totem, I hope to farm for a charm with Vicious Charge and a ring with Great Juju, both dropped from Zeena.

This could take a while, but it's definitely worth it! Now if you excuse me, I have some farming to do... a lot of it. See you next time! Fair sailing, pirates!
