Year of the Horse Sale

Dueling Diego

     Dueling Diego is in our hearts (some of us dislike it and have to look for a guide to it) if you have played Wizard101 and saw the grand opening of this game. Recently Pirate101 said via Twitter that Dueling Diego now gives Pirate101 rewards and I knew there had to be some housing items that are rare so I went over and tried playing the game and got the Mokey King piece which is extremely big but will fit well if I decide to make a trophy room in the future. Another piece I happened to get during my time playing it was a Ceremonial Arch which I looked up and found out is from the Tribal Crew pack which leads to think that we could possibly have an 8th tier if we get a perfect score in the game that possibly will give a companion from the pack.

Ashford Journals- Entry 2

Last time on the Ashford files, Bonnie Anne had decided to join the crew. She advised Angela to speak to Smollet for advise on the Troggie situation. He informed them that the Troggies were using stolen gun powder and was launching it from giant slingshots.
Once the slingshots were out of commission, Smollet tells Angela to locate Shepard and Livsey, who had been tracking Fin. Livsey had been captured by Troggies, so once again, it was off to battle more Troggies. After he was freed, Livsey explained that Fin was working with the Cutthroats and had stolen the Amulet. Livsey said he would sneak into Skull Cave while Angela and crew distract the Cuthtroats... Will Angela and crew be able to distract the Cutthroats? Will she find Fin? Who ate all the cookies? Giving a Game a Chance

     I wanted to talk about giving a game a fair chance. I see this a lot regarding both KingsIsle games, Wizard101 and Pirate101. People who play Wizard101 will not play Pirate101 and vice versa, because they will not like it, or they only play the tutorial and disregard the game. I swore off Wizard101 after Pirate101 came out. At the time I had a level 81 Storm stuck in Azteca and could not progress. I was sick of the game and thought it was terrible. I was advised by friends in the community to try a different school before giving up on the game, so I made a Death student which is what I had originally wanted to try. I have been enjoying Wizard101 more because of this new school. My point is do not judge the game on one class or school and the tutorial alone. Try it with two classes or schools and run all the way through the Free- to- Play section before passing judgement. This way you can get a good feel of the gameplay and the advantages/ disadvantages of different play styles. You might actually be pleasantly surprised by the results. It is possible that the game may not be for you, but at least you gave it a decent try. This advise can be carried to many MMO's as well. I welcome your thoughts on this way of giving a game a chance.

Tips For Pirate101 Housing & Gold Farming

Tip #1: Get crowns because they will become your best friend when you don't want to farm hour after hour for gold or want to get a housing item somewhere in the spiral that you haven't unlocked with crowns yet.

Tip #2: Not everything will be in the Bazaar, lots of people are out farming, doing PvP, decorating their houses, leveling their pirates, or playing on test realm (depends) so you can go out and farm a boss or wandering creatures and randomly stumble upon a player questing and helping them with the one battle.

Tip #3: Go out of your comfort zone, some houses or item themes you usually stay away from could become perfect themes. I visited Cret and his house the other day (like 3-5ish days ago actually) and he had a good combination of combining Cool Ranch themed outdoor items with his Buccaneer's Den.

Tip #4: Always ask Kingsisle to add more houses and housing items. Sometimes you will get bored or restricted from the same stuff but it is best to wait for stuff but sometimes you just can't hold it.

Tip #5: Ask Kingsisle to allow mounts and pets to roam free because your house can seem lonely at times without a adorable Buffaloon to comfort you and a crab or panther army to keep invaders away from your cove.

Tip #6: Create a teleporter hub. Like I said on the first tip, crowns will be your friends and you will need them for about everything, one of theme being teleporters. A teleporter hub is a good place to be and I suggest making it in the pirate dorm so you don't need any house equipped and can move between houses quickly without getting lost like Buccaneer's Den to the swashbuckler house to the Buccaneer house (I don't know the names well) and back to the swashbuckler house only to go to the Privateer house.

Tip #7: Avernus + max level + 2-4 friends if they want + dragons = gold is the simple equation you can use but you can also add crowns to it if you are looking for gold and don't want to buy  5 books just to get to Friar Sand in MooShu, the way to Avernus only costs 4 books which leaves you some crowns to buy a little treat for yourself. Please note that the level of the dragons vary from about 30-70 so change realms and see what happens if you continue to get low level dragons and not getting enough gold.

Fun Tip: Ask Blind Mew questions because it will give everyone more suspense.

Ashford Journals- Entry 1

Angela and Wing Chun had just escaped from the Armada and found themselves in Avery's court. It seems Avery is willing to protect pirates and provide them a ship. However, a pirate must earn their keep and Avery just so happens to need help.

Fin, a pirate Avery hired, stole an antique, the Jade Amulet, and has caused the Troggies to riot, putting Skull Island under fire. So we are sent to Chief Gunner Rigby, who sends our duo to speak to Bonnie Anne.

After a few Troggie trouncings, Bonnie Anne decided to join the crew to help stop the Troggies from firing at the fort. Will Angela stop the Troggie riots? Will she locate Fin? Will there be more of these questions? Stay tuned for the next installment of The Adventures of Angela Ashford!

Pirate Dorm 1.0

     I use my dorm as a testing facility and today I wanted to highlight the first version (I take a picture of them all) of what I am deciding to put in.

     I bought a few things from the ever famous gold housing section of the crown shop (Samoorai Armor, Cloudy Divider, Bamboo Barrel, Privateer Bedroom Set, and the Dark Magic Cauldron which I did not use here) and some stuff I got from holiday codes and cool drops!

     I combined parts of the spiral mixing and turning them into a good apartment, the theme here has to be hands down if you ask me the home of a Samoorai because unless Kingsisle wants them to be different from their real world counterpart then this is a perfect house for them because they can paint, write, meditate, but not take care of a bonzai tree (1 crown fee for keeping any pets, mounts, and/or trees that take a lot of work in the pirate dorm. :P) or work on a zen garden, or take a bath and smelling good before going to war (facts from the internet people) with the Amber Horde or even our pirate.

A Warm Welcome

     Hey everyone, it's your favorite Pirate here! Better than Boochbeard himself! I'm just kidding. This blog post is mainly to welcome everyone to Pirates Unite and this post won't be too long either. An introduction to the website is on the side titled under "About Us". As you all know, we've been pushing the grand opening of Pirates Unite to be sooner. Originally, this website was supposed to be open late November, however, we had a major setback. Without further ado, here she is.

     Pirates Unite is the Pirate101 website to Wizards Unite. Although, Wizards Unite is a fansite and we be a selective player's blog central. Please forgive the hopefully temporary domain for not being ".com". This is because of money shortage. Yes, I registered for a free domain. Disregarding this issue, I hope we still become official soon. That would only work with the wonderful readers we have and the met requirements of the website. Pirates Unite promises to bring contest prizes the best of our ability, as long as it's possible right now.We are reserving spots for 2 more bloggers, whom if interested, can contact our website's twitter by clicking on the image of our logo on the side panel bar.
